Fics That Come Back... FROM THE DEAD!
Have you ever had one of those stories that you thought you'd never touch again? Not because you didn't like it, or didn't want to finish it, but because it had been such a long time since you'd attempted anything for it?

When 'Faces in the Passageway' astonishingly resurrected itself in April, I was so shocked, you could have knocked me over with a feather. Carol is known for being unpredictable, but that was very extreme.

But she's done it again! Last Tuesday, I wrote three more pages of 'From Where Ever I Am To You', which was the second Star Wars fic I ever started (July, 2001). I've had the last page and a half sitting on my hard drive since January 2004, but I'd begun to despair of ever getting there. But now I know how-- I have the three pages I typed on Tuesday, plus several hand-written pages I managed while waiting to get my flu shots.

My resolve is to finish the entire story before I post more of it. I can do this, right? *looks at Carol sternly* Right?

But, in the meantime, I decided to revise what I have posted. Having been written over five years, I found several continuity errors in the story. Also, since I started it before Episode II even came out, there are some conflicts with canon. I fixed all of these, and even managed to work Breha Organa in. It's still very AU from Uncle George's story, but it makes more sense now. And it's all polished and pretty-fied. ^_^;;

So, here we are:

From Where Ever I Am To You

Whew! Part of me is tempted to post this revision on the padmeanakin com, but I'm not sure... there are new bits to it, but it's not really new.
What do you think?

...erm, aside from the fact I'm a raving lunatic, that is. ^_~

I re-read this
I still love, love, love the little touches of realistic detail you give to your works, giving a backstory/background to Padme which George could never imagine. I love your similes, comparing feelings and events to made-up flowers, fruits, and history that still ring so real.

Ganbatte on getting the rest finished! ^_^
