Werewolves, Ex-convicts, and Slash-- Oh My!
You know what? There are a lot of problems with PoA-- gross inconsistencies with the book, shoddy editing-- but I'm willing to excuse that because, damnit, Sirius/Remus forever. Oh yeah. The slash in that movie is ridiculous, and it confirms my long-held theory that Sirius, not Remus, is the usual bottom. *teehee* ^_~

In case you hadn't guessed, I just saw Prisoner of Azkaban. I actually bought my copy yesterday, but my brother asked me to wait, so I could watch it with him and the girls tonight. It was his first time seeing the movie; he was sick in June, and I ended up taking the girls to see it in the theaters. (They were convinced they'd just DIE if they didn't see it right away. ^_^;;; I was of the same opinion, hence my tickets for opening day. ^^) Even Sam saw the slash-- he eyed me as I giggled on the couch, but I didn't say a word. It was Justine who chorused Snape's line of "like an old married couple!". Those girls are sharp, they are indeed.

*stretches* This is actually the last week of school before exams. UC is on a wonky quarter schedule, so we have an absurdly long Christmas break, and virtually nothing for Thanksgiving and Spring. Oh well.

In other news, I ran by Barnes and Nobles today and picked up the following:
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood
Tales of the Lovecraft Mythos edited by Robert Price
The Virgin Suicides by Jerome something-or-other (the book is upstairs and I'm too lazy to run and get it.

Oh! And when I went for my allergy shots today, the poster in the waiting room was of a gray wolf, with the subtitle canis lupis. I was so amused. (A little too easy a task, I expect.)

New layout, because I'm physically incapable of letting things be. ^^;;;

Sleep well, ladies,

"This is your heart, this is your only home, here..."
Aaargh! I loved that line.

I know. They're embracing, too! And poor Moony seems so confused when Padfoot attacks him. *sniffling*

"Stop bickering like an old married couple!"
Heh. Severus had to watch those two making out all through school. He knows. ^_^

Got Sirius whipped, he has.
He's got him whipped in PoA! Only Remus could make Sirius hold off on killing Peter.

Heh. Now what fandom can I get you into next?
You're so evil. ^_~

Re: "This is your heart, this is your only home, here..."
Ah, but it's Harry who holds Sirius off on killing Peter. Although I read a line in a fic once about Sirius that seemed to sum it up: "He'd died for Harry, but he'd lived for Remus."

Snape probably saw them at it all through school, then switched sides, walked through the Order door, found them at it in the front hall and switched back. :)

Fandoms, fandoms, let's see. Well, you got into M*A*S*H at the same time as I did, you liked Stargate and you liked HP and you even liked Sirius/Remus, and my fandoms of choice at present are BtVS/AtS, which are Whedonverse, as is Firefly, which I'm not into but Leigh is...

See, it's insidious. Hee.

I know, but Remus asks him to wait so they can explain things to Harry & Co. That's what I was talking about. *wiffles, thinking about Remus helping Sirius up off the floor*

*laughs* That's it, exactly! He figured he'd take his chances with Voldie rather than watch the mutts go at it. ^_~

which are Whedonverse
Nan desu ka? (What's that?)

I tried BtVS, but I'm afraid my primary vampire fandom loyalties still lay with Forever Knight and Demon Under Glass (which has no fandom. *sniff* And Simon practically KISSES Joe!)

I don't even know what Firefly is about...

Poor, much-put-upon Snape. Except no, because I don't like him, but still. :)

Whedonverse fandoms are those penned by the Lord God Joss Whedon, i.e. Buffy, AtS and Firefly. And vampires are good things, and then we have Angel, with crime-fight ensouled vampires and former prom queens and karaoke demons! Where can you go wrong with karaoke demons?!

I don't know much about Firefly either, but it's on this week and I'm thinking about watching if I get time. I hear the term "space Western" bandied about, so I'm intriguied...

Actually I've never seen a single episode of Firefly in my life, but somehow I ended up getting hooked on the fic anyway. Funny how these things work.

I am seriously considering getting into BtVS when I go home for Christmas break, even though I tried once and failed a few years ago. I desperately miss knowing the ins and outs of the canon on which your fic is based.

Re: "This is your heart, this is your only home, here..."
I wanted to get into Firefly myself, and they're showing it on Sci-fi this week, and I can't watch it 'cause of interviews and suchlike, and it's annoying.

I shall stop saying "and" now.

Your getting into BtVS would most likely make my year. Unfortunately there is no war involved - well, unless you count the constant Slayerettes vs. Evil - but I'm still hoping to tempt you. I actually tried to start watching the show several years ago, and gave up. This time round it's had much more of an effect, for which I blame not_vacillating.
