I count 66, but that number may be slightly askew, as my brother has a tendency to borrow some of my movies without permission. (The last time he was over here, he completely rearranged my DVD collection because, he said, there was no rhyme or reason to my filing system. Well, maybe not, but I knew where everything was! ^^;) I also think I have some of his DVDs, but I counted them because they were here. I didn't count series like M*A*S*H and Stargate SG-1, mostly because they're not films per se, and I don't know how I'd count them. ^^;
I also have a couple films like Pet Semetary, The Ninth Gate, and What Dreams May Come taped off the TV.
2) The last film I bought:
Hmmm... I think that would be Resident Evil 2. Alice kicks so much ass. *happy place*
3) The last film I watched:
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Wanted a little refresher before the big day. (ROTS on May 19th! WHOO!)
4) Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:
(1)Imitation of Life-- This is actually my mother's favorite film, so much so that I was almost named after the main character. X_x But it reminds me of her, and I like to watch it when I'm down.
(2)Flatliners-- I just really enjoy this film, for some reason. It's an approach to the afterlife that somehow doesn't feel overly 'spooky' or 'faux horror'. I like the feel.
(3)Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back-- come on, there had to be a SW film in here. ESB is my favorite of the old trilogy. Sharing this spot is Attack of the Clones, which is my (current) favorite of the prequels.
(4)The Stand-- post apocalyptic world? check. bizarre bad guy? check. Stu Redman? Oh yeah, check. Dudes, what else do you want?
(5)Momento Mori-- Korean schoolgirls in love. I adore the surreal feel of this film. This spot is shared by Three, a collection of short Asian films. In particular, I like Going Home, from Hong Kong.
